The Nihon no hanga collection includes over 2000 Japanese prints of which 90% dates from the 20th century. Nihon no hanga has as its goal to provide a comprehensive overview of the developments in 20th century Japanese print production. Twice a year we produce an exhibition exploring a variety of themes, accompanied by an exhibition catalogue. Our largest publication featuring the two main movements of 20th century Japanese printmaking titled 'Waves of renewal: modern Japanese prints 1900 to 1960'​ was released February 2016.The museum is open to the public in May and November every year.

As a specialist of Japanese art, with a focus on Japanese woodblock prints, I am available for projects in the cultural field. I have over ten years of curatorial experience, including: researching, compiling and writing publications; developing and producing (international) exhibitions; creating and maintaining databases; collection building, management and preservation; organising cultural activities; hosting lectures and workshops. I also have extensive commercial experience and am available for Japanese art appraisals.Bokashi means colour gradation and is found in Japanese woodblock prints. The technique is often applied to visually recreate the natural gradient of the changing colours of the sky.
