I oversee LCRA compliance activities related to FERC-approved Mandatory Reliability Standards established by North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Texas Reliability Entity (Texas RE) and/or the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). I also serve as a subject matter expert throughout the assigned area of responsibility and represents the assigned department on internal compliance related matters and teams. Performs and manages complex work requiring an in-depth understanding of the NERC Compliance Program. Interac with all levels of LCRA staff, including groups within assigned engineering, information technology, consultants / contractors supporting NERC compliance efforts, regulators, applicable industry groups, and peers at other companies.

Analyze wholesale and off system bills for accuracy relating to kWh, rate design, and dollar amount for each customer. This analysis is used to insure invoices accuracy prior to releasing for customer payment.Serve as a key contributor related to LCRA business plan. Provided support and analysis for F&ERM O&M budget according to the business plan. Serve as a key contributor related to the analysis of the O&M budget for Fuels & Energy Risk Management. This analysis allows us to track budget to actuals and correct charges if necessary.Provides operations staff with end-to-end project management principles to ensure compliance with ERCOT protocols and operating guides.Prepare monthly reports using kWh data from our translations department through PIGen software and Microsoft Excel for internal departments for financial, forecasting, and load system purposes. Design, implement, research and monitor the net system load, then perform price and cost analysis for customers.Monitor energy transactions such as ancillary services, capacity, and purchase power with our vendors. Verify with vendors regarding monthly financial and energy transactions. If financial or economic discrepancies are found, an analysis is performed.Oversee current wind contracts by monitoring that contracts are in compliance. Process invoices monthly and change prices yearly in accordance to their contracts.Compile data to produce invoices for wholesale, off system, and pilot program customers through ad hoc reports and historical data from ERCOT. Collect billing and hourly data from a variety of software such as Allegro, nMarket, DAT Tool, Lodestar, and Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access.Create and maintain a current active primary contact list with all vendors that sell/buy energy.Developed and maintained professional relationships with various contacts from external vendors.

Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures, or other financial activities within an organization.

Responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to Accounting Department personnel. Maintains accounting document files, including daily work and accounts payable. Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system. Prints accounts payable checks and inserts them into appropriate envelopes for mailing. Assists accounting personnel as requested.
