I joined KaMin in Macon, GA as a Quality Chemist in April 2023. My previous professional experience includes ten months as a Senior QC Lab Tech at Contec, Inc in Spartanburg, SC and two summers as an intern in the R&D and QA lab with Zschimmer & Schwarz in Milledgeville, GA. I have a B.S. in Chemistry and a minor in German from Georgia Tech.My academic background from Georgia Tech includes strong mathematics (Differential, Integral, and Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations), chemical engineering (Numerical Methods, Thermodynamics, and Transport Phenomena) and chemistry (Organic, Synthetic, Analytical, Inorganic, Physical, Atmospheric, and Biochemistry). In addition to a minor in German, I also have strong skills in French and I'm beginning to learn Irish.I'm a diligent and efficient worker, and I pay close attention to detail. I enjoy researching, problem solving, and learning new techniques just as much as I enjoy refining what I already know. I love doing laboratory work and applying my skills in a hands-on way. I work best in an engaging environment where everyone has something to teach and learn from each other.I'm a lifelong scientist at heart as well as an artist, calligrapher, equestrian, trombonist, writer, hiker, swimmer, actor, and fencer. My collection of hobbies and interests ranges from casual to passionate and is constantly expanding - I love learning and experiencing new things, and you never know when they'll come in handy in an unexpected way.
