Growing up with partial visual impairment in rural Zimbabwe, I witnessed and experienced many hardships and inequalities. These shaped my passion for youth rights, and my commitment to making a difference for underserved communities.I have an Honours Degree in Development Studies from Midlands State University, a Civic Leadership certificate from the UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership in partnership with the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Center in South Africa, a Public Policy Analysis and Advocacy certificate from SIVIO Institute, and a Social and Economic Justice Ambassador certificate from ZIMCODD.My work centers on youth rights to sexual reproductive health, protection from sexual exploitation, and socioeconomic strengthening. I apply a human-centered approach to design and implement projects that are inclusive, impactful, and sustainable. I also write articles for various platforms, including newsletters and journals.I have gained valuable skills in program facilitation, advocacy writing, proposal writing, and project management through over 7 years of working in the Zimbabwean civic space, advocating for the rights and welfare of young people to live healthily and free from the twin evils of deprivation and injustice. My vision is to establish a youth rights NGO that takes a decolonized approach to community development, blending indigenous wisdom and modern research to enhance youths' access to health, justice, and socioeconomic rights .
