In June 2023, I assumed the role of Director of Corporate Communications at Keep America Beautiful. Prior to joining this organization, I held the position of Chief Meteorologist at WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio. With a career in broadcasting that spans nearly two decades, I have amassed valuable experience in print, digital, radio, and television broadcasting.As the Director of Corporate Communications at Keep America Beautiful, my responsibilities include formulating and executing the organization's communication strategy. This encompasses tasks such as producing and editing the "Do Beautiful Things" podcast, providing daily media updates to the entire staff, managing social media partnerships, and crafting press releases and stories for publication and broadcast.Additionally, I contribute to the enrichment of state and national Keep America Beautiful conferences by writing scripts and delivering presentations. This engagement allows me to share insights, experiences, and the organization's impactful initiatives with a wider audience, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Keep America Beautiful community.My association with Keep America Beautiful began in 2021 when I collaborated with RETREET, one of the organization's programs. Together with community partners, we replanted nearly 1,000 trees in tornado-damaged neighborhoods throughout southwest Ohio. This experience heightened my appreciation for the remarkable work carried out by the organization.In addition to my professional background, I served as the Chair of the Station Scientist Committee for the American Meteorological Society in 2023 and continue to volunteer in that capacity. Furthermore, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from SUNY Oswego. I'm also a three-time EMMY award-winning certified meteorologist, I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment.
