After Sony decided to close Evolution Stuiods, I was approached by Sony management about the opportunity to keep the studio running under a different publisher. The challenge was going to be huge and one of the biggest of my careers so far. We would have a month to take the stripped out building and hardware left by sony and rebuild everything. The studio had to have staff working on the May 1st. Within 30 Days myself and the existing IT team located in Southam had to set up: Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Backups) Networking (Site to Site VPN, ADSL Lines, Wifi)User End Desks (Install Hardware, Deploy Windows, Configure Software) All of the above was installed, configured and tested on time and ready for the team to hit the ground running.It wasn't long before we started to need to make improvements to the back-end infrastructure to cope with the new demands of working across multiple console platforms. Upgrades to the HyperV Environment and San Hardware soon followed all of which I played a key part in the transition from Old to new hardware without causing any downtime to the users. During my time at Codemasters, I was able to learn about HyperV and understand the differences between that and ESX / VSphere.

Evolution Studios (Runcorn)

During my time as the Infrastructure Support Analyst at Evolution Studios I worked closely with a number of people and teams. Whether it be helping the 1st and 2nd line support with issues, or working with Project Managers. Working with a demanding user base, issues had to be resolved quickly with as little downtime as possible. Evolution Studios

My responsibility's at Evolution Studios was to build and configure Desktop PC's and Laptops for the development staff. I would also be required to set up PlayStation 3 and PSP Development Kits and update them as needed. I would also have to trouble shoot issues raised by the development staff and work with the senior support staff to resolve them.
