Part of the University Advancement Division, the Tower Foundation is SJSU's auxiliary organization dedicated solely to philanthropy. Tower assists with the development, investment, administration and banking of all SJSU philanthropic donations. The Foundation assesses a fee for these services. The Tower Foundation subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights.

Robert Half placement directly with The Tower Foundation for four months. Applied for the permanent role and was hired.

Led a team of five in month-end close and consolidated financial statement preparation utilizing EPIC and excel. Launched change management procedures to reduce the close by five days. Conducted process interviews of staff to evaluate workload and title and compensations to overhaul job descriptions and create a promotion track. Completed demos of Workday and Floqast to achieve more automation, better audit trail, and proper approval internal controls.

Led summer intern program to revive client benchmark marketing data. Mentored and trained a staff of three to completely overhaul the accounts receivable/customer service function to be paperless, automated, and cloud-based. Onboarded the HR Manager, closely collaborating to overhaul the employee manual and ensure ACA Compliance. Lead Peer Review with AICPA. Managed all E&O, liability, worker's compensation, and ERISA bond insurance policies, annual renewal and claims.
