Did I ever tell you the time when I created an event on a zero budget, using only donated and up-cycled materials for décor? How about the time I made the yearly Polar Express train excursion the best a return visitor had ever experienced? How about my inability to adequately grow facial hair? No? Well, let’s talk about these things for just a moment (minus the facial hair bit, of course). Now, you’re about to look at my resume and website/portfolio (at www.mccluredesignstudio.com) where you’ll learn that I’ve got some impressive skills. I design, fabricate, coordinate, manage, problem solve out the wazoo. I’ve done ginormous corporate events, red carpet events, product showcases, art shows, theatrical productions, book releases, and so much more. But here’s what you might not know:1. I like a challenge! I love taking the client's vision and expanding the limits of my creativity. I’ve never tackled a project too small or too large; no task is too challenging – I simply love what I do and want to share that with you. I also enjoy walks in the park, drives along the coast, and science fiction. 2. I know other stuff! I’ve accrued skills obtained outside my field which I’ve found to be extremely useful as an event designer including management, budgeting, the operation of heavy machinery, and experience working with individuals with impaired abilities. 3. I am an extremely dedicated, hard worker who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty (I mean, we’re talking literal blood, sweat, and tears, here). I thrive on varied activities. In fact, the more things I have to keep me busy, the happier I am. But I also clean up nicely (at least my wife says so), ready to represent you with passion and a good attitude. So, if there’s something about me that intrigues you even in the slightest, let’s talk! I know lots of words and can answer questions pretty darn "gooder"! ;)I look forward to hearing from you! Take care.
