I graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in December 2015 and subsequently passed the certifying exam. After licensure and credentialing, I began work in Neurosurgery at Novant Health in Charlotte, NC where I worked hand-in-hand with one surgeon to provide operative and peri-operative care in the outpatient and inpatient settings. After my surgeon’s departure from the practice, I joined Providence Anesthesiology Associates and transitioned to providing pre-operative medical optimization for surgical candidates. My operative and peri-operative experiences provide me with a strong surgical conscience and the knowledge necessary to succeed in both the operating room and at the bedside. Providing patient care in various practice settings has helped hone my critical thinking and medical decision-making skills, and has allowed me to positively impact daily operations of the practice. I enjoy being involved in the continuum of care, and look forward to expanding my medical and surgical knowledge base.
