With my 29+ years of experience in the transportation industry, I have been providing positive results for customer’s, contractor’s, coworker’s, and employer’s lives by thoughtfully managing the logistic challenges that come with transporting personal and company goods. Success has followed at every level because of my strong analytical sense, work ethic, integrity and people skills.Early in my career, I moved from a large corporate setting to Passport Transport, a small, private, enclosed auto transportation company, where I needed to adeptly shift from selling and serving customers to dispatching and communicating with drivers throughout the day. Through travel and customer facing events, I became accustomed and comfortable to working under pressure from deadlines or customer crisis issues.I was promoted to a management role within the company and contributed to growing the fleet from 14 to 41 enclosed car carriers over a 7 year period and rebranding the equipment in 3 years.I’m thankful for the skills I developed and enjoyed my time with Passport Transport/FedEx Auto Transport during which I played a key role in successfully transitioning to new ownership. The last 4 years with Passport Transport were spent working remotely from home and traveling to national events, while overseeing other aspects of the company, specifically Customer Account/Service Management, Claims Management, Contractor Recruitment/Orientation and DOT Safety and Compliance.When I left Passport Transport, I rejoined UniGroup to expand capacity for auto service through 3rd party carriers. After 3 years of adding quality carriers to improve on-time service and profits, I was promoted to Ground Transportation Manager for Brokerage and tasked with expanding 3rd party capacity for that division. I increased capacity by 20% (140 carriers) which enabled my department to increase asset solutions at the rate of 23% over previous year (from 62% to 85%), which greatly improved customer service and satisfaction.Although I’m interested in continuing my career in the transportation industry, I’m open to opportunities in other fields. I stay active with running every day and coaching club level soccer.
