If I had to choose, I would say that my greatest strength has been my ability to work with people in a way that makes them feel understood and appreciated. My goal of feeling comfortable and respected in my work environment extends to my coworkers because I value the people at the individual and team levels. For the past year, I have worked as a Content Editor for LexisNexis as a home-based employee. The position has allowed me to grow my skills in proofreading and editing while enhancing my technological skillset.Historically, I have worked in roles that have highlighted my customer service and training skills. Much of my last ten years were spent in elementary and middle school education. Before working in education, I worked as a department trainer/team lead for the Target Corporation. That role allowed me to work in retail and training simultaneously which grew my skillset exponentially. Working within the education system involves exercising extreme diligence in all aspects of the job. From protected information to workload management, my time in education has prepared me to manage the details of any job. Additionally, I have practiced speaking in front of groups of various sizes and topic knowledge. Outside of work, I enjoy visiting local restaurants, painting, or enjoying time outside with a good book.
