• Designed and implemented a thread pooling mechanism that segmented long-running and short-running tasks, eliminating application freezes caused by thread contention. Enhanced system adaptability by introducing dynamic thread pool scaling based on available system resources, improving application responsiveness and handling of concurrent tasks by an order of magnitude.• Introduced new features including dynamic data filtering, satellite tracking functionality, and additional radio interfaces, expandingthe application’s data handling and communication capabilities.• Reconstructed the message handling back end, leveraging priority queues, optimized thread handling, and robust inheritance and polymorphism patterns, enabling seamless scalability and reducing the time required to integrate new messaging protocols fromweeks to hours.

Worked to create, maintain, and improve web tools that streamlined the workflow of other teams- Created a new ReactJS user portal that interacts with Stripe and a Java Spring backend to manage user financial and account/strap information for more efficient debugging and support requests- Wrote RESTful APIs in Java and SQL- Built a new data visualization console for the signal processing team to download data packets from Amazon S3, populate a Google Sheet with relevant device information, and determine whether or not a device was effective in a data collection session at a glance using Highcharts- Implemented a new access control list editor for our internal tools focused on group-based access rather than individualized permissions to reduce confusion among teams- Wrote Node.js smoke testing scripts utilizing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB for determining the uptime of our products- Built out robust dashboards and monitors in Datadog based off of metrics returned from the elastic load balancer health checks and the smoke test lambdas- Effectively communicated with other teams to gather requirements for feature requests and modified existing features based on user feedback- Clearly presented feature additions to our tools in front of the company at our monthly tech demos

- Utilized Jest to test and debug UI and backend components interfacing with APIs. - Wrote a series of regular expressions and functions in React Native to parse out key components of a search query to be passed to an API used to pull that matching data from MEDITECH’s database.- Implemented a shared drop down component that combines with the parsing functionality to create a typeahead search bar for recipients in a message compose screen. - Created various scripts mimicking user behavior on an app for load testing servers with Artillery.io.- Developed a Visual Studio Code Extension to smartly create the folder structure, add template code, and update project hooks in an existing React Native project to expedite the creation of React Native applications.- Published an angular library containing shared pipes, definitions, and services to npm.- Helped create and publish an Angular component library to npm with options to display a modal with a side by side text editor and preview screen for editing, locally saving, and pushing changes to api documentation- Helped train and organize a team with the goal of building out tools for in-house api developers.
