As an intern, I work on priority issues, including climate change and mitigation; climate adaptation and resilience; renewable energy; marine and terrestrial conservation; marine surveillance; illegal, unlawful, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; deforestation and illicit timber harvesting; waste management and recycling; marine debris; and local capacity building.

Working with the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, I participated in multiple projects for the Our Ocean Conference, including drafting the OES efforts on the DipNote blogpost. I created distinct, concise, informative summaries of large amounts of information in international country strategy (ICS) reports and built social media content toolkits for embassies. I helped create an African air quality survey and worked with international embassy officials on the Office of Inspector General memorandums. I gathered biographies of 35+ global advisors. I transcribed interviews and built scenarios of A/S Medina's trip to Viruguna National Park.
