Hello, my name is McKenna Dockter and I am a freshman here at North Dakota State University. I am majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management, hoping to pursue a career in event planning. In high school, I was involved in many extra curricular activities including FFA, National Honors Society, Yes! Team, Student Council, Theatre, Choir and I did many different sports throughout school. I achieved many hours of volunteering experience, by giving blood, tying blankets, packed food meals and school backpacks, cleaned ditches, taught agriculture safety and wrote letters to the nursing home. My most recent job I held, was being a medication delivery driver at Randy's Family Drug and Gifts. My duties required me to work at the register, drive around to different nursing homes, hospitals, and houses, and other housekeeping things like take out the trash or dust. From being involved in so many activities in school and working, I gained so many personal skills that have helped shape me into the person I am today. I have become a better communicator, gained leadership skills, learned how to manage my time and making decisions.
