In March 2019, McKenna accepted a promotional role into the Instruments Customer Service team. Assisted in data collection and experimental design for two hypotheses relating to social psychology, specifically race relations. The goals of these experiments were: A) Determine whether individuals are more or less willing to accept a coffee invitation from an individual of the same or of different race than themselves. B) Determine whether imagining a positive interaction with an individual of the same or of different race from oneself would have a positive effect on the perceived quality of a real-life interaction.Responsibilities included assisting in experimental design, conducting experiments/collecting data, coding data, use of video and audio recording equipment, and daily log keeping.
