Caregiver for 15 residents with Alzheimer's Disease and other related dementias. I provided direct personal care by assisting the residents with their activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, feeding, ambulating, and toileting. In this role, I learned and incorporated dementia care strategies and communication while charting the daily status and needs of each resident. It was my intention to promote resident well-being and satisfaction by encouraging social interaction and resident engagement in activities to the best of their abilities.
