The NCAA and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) have embarked on a landmark $30 million initiative to study and prevent concussion, known as the NCAA-DoD Grand Alliance. The Concussion Assessment, Research and Education (CARE) Consortium serves as the scientific and operational framework for the study. One of the participating schools is the U.S. Military Academy. The Research Intern position at West Point involves administration and documentation of a variety of concussion assessments (BESS, SCAT3, SAC, ImPACT). The large team is required to test all cadets who consent to participation in the study.

Each Owl Team Leader works closely with small groups of new students to facilitate group activities and discussions to assist students in their transition to Temple University.
