As a young man under a single-parent household I quickly went in search for masculinity. I saw all the other boys with their fathers playing sports; yet I could never grasp the joy or fulfillment of any of them. I always had a love for arts, video games, and the outdoors, but this didn't seem to fit the mold of what it meant to be "masculine." It wasn't until I started going to the gym and lifting weights did I begin to find that fulfillment I was looking for. My search for more confidence and masculinity brought me to the Marine Corps. After High School I Joined the USMC Reserve and built upon my character as a man. I then served an religious mission, and deeper crafted my character as person. Now, after spending years learning more and more of what it means to be a "man" I come to find it is something I have always had. I can't tell you the answer because I am still not there, and it is different for everyone. However, my goal is to help other young men, young women, and non-binary individuals find their confidence in themselves. I will do this by using my preferred method, fitness. I know many others can find fulfilment and growth mentally and emotionally as they put great efforts on their physically growth. I just want to be here to help them know where to start.
