I help lead transformational partnership efforts across Northwestern University and with internal/external stakeholders in the fields of energy and sustainability. Focus on translational research and experiential education.

I managed the creation and distribution of both print and digital energy and sustainability content across Institute media platforms. I also managed the marketing and communication needs of the Institute and its partners with an emphasis on applied research and public policy.

• Aided department chair, faculty, and staff in designing a 10-year strategic plan for creating a top-tier Political Science program.Skills: alumni outreach, collaboration, data analysis, planning strategy, “best practices” research.

• Proposed and analyzed state and federal public policies related to consumer protection, electricity/natural gas infrastructure improvements, and the environment.• Represented CUB at meetings before government agencies, energy market operators (PJM/MISO), consumer advocacy organizations, laypeople, environmental organizations, and research institutions.• Prepared grant proposals, policy analysis memos, guidebooks, and presentations. • Researched and wrote case studies in support of the Ford Center of Global Citizenship. Subjects included: Tesla Motors, Bangladeshi garment factory collapse, 2008 auto industry bailout, and corporate corruption. Skills: writing, original research.

• Led a team of student researchers aimed at redesigning Harvard’s sustainability plan and presented our recommendations to Harvard’s senior leadership.• Recruited and assisted university offices in achieving Green Office Certification. • Produced graduate capstone research project analyzing low-income energy efficiency policies in Illinois and made policy recommendations based on best practices from Massachusetts.• Researched energy policies to inform Elevate's advocacy strategy including: smart meters, energy efficiency, multi-family housing, and LEED.• Represented Elevate in meetings with utility companies, state and local government, and partner NGOs.Skills: independent research, writing, data analysis, policy evaluation, stakeholder engagement.

• Compiled and interpreted large amounts of raw data regarding television networks’ coverage of climate change and corresponding changes in public opinion. Skills: Microsoft Excel, data processing, original research.

• Awarded, facilitated, and managed 60+ primarily need-based and international scholarships. • Organized and facilitate quarterly retreats for scholarship recipients. • Organized logistics for two-year VMI program including faculty/staff recruitment, curriculum design, recruitment of guest lecturers, and technology coordination.
