Responsible for Federal emergency health and medical response operations for natural disasters, acts of terrorism and public health emergencies.Responsible for the development of regional emergency preparedness plans to carry out the Department’s missions. Researched, developed, tracked and reported on appropriate quantifiable outcome measures for the state's EMS system. Served a population of 3.5 million residents with 500,000 EMS responses annually.Responsible for the formation of the Connecticut Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and served as its first Team Commander.
