One year engineering rotation program. Rotated through various aerospace disciplines, including:-Stress Analysis-Equipment Engineering-Supply Chain Support-Weights Management-Tool Design-Aerospace Design

-Worked on several projects in support of sustaining engineering for the Valves group.-Responsible for the design validation and life testing of a range of fluid dispensing systems.-Aided in determining root cause for field failures and what needed to be done to avoid them in the future.-Collaborated with vendors and customers to design parts for specially requested, custom configurations of fluid dispensing systems.-Maintained documentation such as bills of materials and manufacturing procedures so that they were up to date with current practices.

-Responsible for the structural analysis of electronics chassis and spacecraft payloads for upcoming missions. -Used computational finite element analysis, checked against classical analytical methods, to determine margins of safety for metallic and composite structures.-Optimized designs through the use of trade studies keeping in mind stringent environmental and mechanical requirements. -Created reports detailing current analysis progress for weekly project meetings and design reviews.

-Worked in direct support of Research and Development in an environmental & mechanical lab. -Ran tests and failure analysis on new products in alpha and beta stages along with validation of cost saving measures for current products.-Submitted clear and concise reports which impacted subsequent design phases for many new products.-Experience with a variety of tests and equipment including, but not limited to: Vibration and shock with an Unholtz-Dickie electromechanical shaker, load analysis with an Insight load frame and UV testing with Atlas chambers.

-Worked in support of senior manufacturing engineer to improve process and output flow of Thyratron and Sparkgap assembly areas. -Created and improved existing documentation such as bills of materials, production routers, and work instructions for Thyratron line.-Designed and implemented manufacturing fixtures to improve product quality.
