Designed new topology, reviewed current technology, recommended purchase of equipment and drafted configurations for a revision in architecture to all company locations. Managed Avaya VoIP system in telephony manager’s absence, performing adds, drops and voicemail maintenance. Pre-Sales - Visit potential clients and provide in-depth discussion of new products for clients requirements. Provide consultation and interface directly with clients and sub-contractors on system architecture and design of infrastructure upgrades. Survey, engineer, and implement Local Area Networks for government and civilian facilities. Complete design packages, negotiate, and interpret all design work and reviews with facility CIO and communications personnel. Post-Sales - Install, configure and connect network devices at client facility. Troubleshoot all network problems to include configuration errors, security, faulty infrastructure, or network management. Work with clients over the phone or through email to solve configuration errors or network management problems. Assist clients with returned merchandise approvals and hardware and software maintenance agreements to rapidly replace faulty products. Select and manage implementation crews (2-8 persons per job)

Oversaw overall management and installation of Windows NT network. Responsible installation, security measures, and implementation of Windows NT systems. Converted servers from Banyan vines to Windows NT 4.0 to include Exchange server and all clients including all supporting applications (Microsoft Office). Managed the Customer Support Center, maintaining PC systems and peripherals for several campus buildings and two off-site organizations hardware and software troubleshooting, and network connections. Managed the Network Support Team, providing network performance support to include management of network addresses and installation and removal of clients from the network. Consulted client on total network transition from one site to another including drop layout, fiber runs, communication equipment utilization, and IP address management. Reviewed and recommend all hardware and software enhancements to the network.
