I have many years of experience providing service and solutions to Libraries. I am a plain spoken geek and proud of it. I'm finding that using my experience in libraries has made me very confident in what I can do, and that I have a very clear and articulated picture of all we can and should do for libraries and our patrons. My experience in libraries has given me a robust toolset for being a better leader.I have a overwhelming connection to the technology I work with, and we live with. My advice to anyone afraid of technology is: "​ It's not afraid of you, so you have no fear of it. It's okay to break it. We can fix it: that's what I'm here for."​ I am engaged in moving technology forward for libraries, the medical professions, and home. When asked what my current job entails, the simple version is: I do a little bit of everything. I am focusing on leadership, and being a better example for my fellow library workers as we power through the oddity of Covid times.Technology Specialties: Websites, Hardware, networks, equipment purchase and budget, Windows, Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Slackware, etc), all manner of peripherals, the technology and policies of Computers in Public, Web Design (static, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc), learning new and wonderful things about technology, teaching these wonderful things to all who will listen, technological debate and consideration, and a whole lot more.
