• Managing a team of 12 Pension Specialists, responsible for the end to end administration of a defined benefit multi employer plan representing over 1000 municipal employers across Ontario.
• Recruitment, performance management, development planning and employee recognition.
• Project work including system development requirements & testing, training development & coordination.

• Responsible for implementing Change Management processes and procedures for Financial Systems and Business Intelligence development projects.

• Acting as a liason between IT and project stakeholders.
• Working with Application Architects, Designers, and Developers to understand the requirements and design specifications of Pension & Corporate Systems client/server and web applications

• Developing training strategies and materials as well as delivering training on web and client/server applications to internal and external clients
• Keeping abreast of OMERS plan design, policies, and government pension regulations (PBA, ITA, ESA)
• Auditing the Annual Reporting of Membership Information reports submitted by employers (earnings, service, contributions, PAs)
• Reconciling employer contribution remittances (basic, RCA, service purchases) with Pension Accounting
• Documenting user requirements and user acceptance testing of Annual Reconciliation balancing reports and Access based electronic Annual Reporting tool (predecessor to web tool)

• Verifying output of Actuarial costing module for completeness and accuracy
• Drafting communication materials explaining Past Service Pension Adjustments (PSPA) and income tax implications of purchasing past service to members
• Reconciling control schedules for service purchases
• Outlining the benefits and costs, including the income tax implications, of purchasing past service to members by phone or correspondence
