Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I embraced the opportunity to make a difference within my community as a Delivery Driver. While working full-time, I took on the additional responsibility of delivering pizza, ensuring safe and prompt service. As a music tutor, I was responsible for assisting with the musical growth and technical development of 8 low-brass students at Danville High School. With varying levels of skill and experience, each student was unique and required highly individualized lesson plans and attention. While I was only involved with each student about 30-60 minutes each week, I made sure to stay in constant communication with their primary music teacher in order to make sure that each student was always adequately challenged and that all of their musical needs were being met.

As an event program assistant, I was responsible for the organization and execution of hundreds of events each year held across multiple Campus Recreation facilities. Starting with my initial communication with our clients all the way through the final billing and follow up, it was my job to see that these events ran as smoothly as possible.In addition to event planning and outreach, I also assisted with supervising a department that consisted of roughly 30 student-staff members. As an event manager, my role was to provide quick and accessible on-site customer service to our patrons who ranged from fellow students all the way up to the president of the university. Given the diverse needs of different types of events, I often had to think on my feet in order to make quick and creative decisions while also being tasked with managing and troubleshooting a wide variety of A/V equipment.

As an event management assistant, I handled all of the behind-the-scenes preparation and setup necessary for each of our events. As such, I was also tasked with managing and maintaining an inventory of over one-thousand units of equipment.
