Belize

-Worked with a small team in underwater field research and data acquisition as part of a volunteer program on the barrier reef. 3 one hour dives were done every day at depths ranging from 30-100 ft. information gathered ranged from fish counts to coral diseases.-Research took place on a remote island camp for 4 weeks. Difficulties included transportation of sick volunteers, severe weather evacuation, and gear replacement.-Provided assistance in a local village for 2 weeks with nearby non government organizations to assist in conservation projects. After school programs were also organized for the local school children.
