My practice focuses on intellectual property dispute resolution, primarily involving semiconductor, electronics, and computer-related technologies. My goal is to help my clients resolve their disputes in an efficient manner that respects their business goals. I have represented clients in matters involving a wide variety of technologies, including software, semiconductor fabrication and devices, consumer electronics, haptics, virtual machines, lasers, medical devices, networking and communications, MEMS, sonar, and magnetic materials.I am a co-author of the Patent Case Management Judicial Guide, published by the Federal Judicial Center. A copy may be downloaded from the link in the Publications section below.Before becoming an attorney, I was a member of the scientific team that discovered the top quark. I conducted my research at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and am a co-author of over one hundred papers in refereed journals.
