Responsible for the Portfolio of Enterprise Service IT Programmes within M&G Prudential including;• Cloud Service Line - delivering a Microsoft Azure and AWS capability for Prudential UK, including a full service wrap and support model.• End User Transformation Programme - Office365 (including Skype telephony), Windows 10 and Surface Pro rollout to 10000 staff• Cyber Security Programme - Delivering security for the cloud, enhanced privileged account management and closing open audit items.• Data Centre Migration - Moving a backup datacentre to a 3rd party hosting facility and a re-designed network to reduce network outages

A secondment to Corporate Headquarters in Paris with responsibility for delivering a programme to transform Corporate IT services. This role was created to drive momentum into key head office digital initiatives aimed at changing how IT services are delivered.• Transform Global Operational Services through the delivery of the "IT plan 2015" aimed at industrialising Global Application Services and providing “Operational Excellence”.• Development of Cloud Services to support the Global move towards Cloud based services including IaaS and PaaS working with Google and Amazon Web Services.• Lead on End User Device Initiatives (Chromebook Pilot, Desktop as a Service pilots, creation of an End User Computing Community) with the target of reducing End User Device operating costs and increasing Global Standardisation.• Develop Global Operational Services through the formalisation of Central Service Contracts.• Strategy and delivery of a Cloud based Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) as a middle-ware solution for integrating SaaS and on premise applications.

Head of VE TECH UK, a shared services division providing IT services to Veolia Environnement UK. Overall accountability for VE TECH Services and their alignment with Business Strategy plus responsibility for ensuring on-going UK IT targets are achieved in the group Convergence programme. Services provided by VE TECH UK to over 6000 UK users across 300+ locations include;• Architectural Design, Build and Test of new solutions• Delivery of IT solutions to Veolia UK Businesses• Day to day Service Operations and Management of desk side and datacentre based services• Supplier management• Governance and Compliance in line with Sarbanes Oxley, ISO 20000-1 and General IT controls

Initially targeted with setting up VE TECH UK, an internal shared services division created through the consolidation of IT departments from different Veolia UK companies (Veolia Environmental Service, Veolia Water, Veolia Water Solutions and Technology and Dalkia). Once created, responsible for defining and managing the framework to which VE TECH UK IT "BUILD" operations and services are delivered. The 'Build' team are responsible for the definition and architecture of solution requirements, development of applications, build of the infrastructure and deployment to production platforms for the business units within Veolia Environnement.

Recruited into a newly created position following the acquisition of Cleanaway by Veolia with the principle objectives of building a new team and migrating all business systems to a new hosted data centre, consolidating suppliers for key services and developing an integrated team with staff from both existing companies. With these objectives completed, focus has moved to service Improvement and supporting various Business initiatives.

Having delivered a global infrastructure for the company, I took on day to day management of these services and the associated technical standards. I developed this role to include management responsibility for the UK IT service and for the delivery of datacentre services to the global business and sister companies, achieved through leadership of an expanding team of IT professionals that include helpdesk, server, database and web bureau teams.
