My career in travel started in 1999 where I have worked in a variety of roles, these include retail, groups & events, corporate, account management and support.After completing my tourism & traineeship in travel (cert III) I moved to the "big smoke" and had my encounter with shopping centre retail stores, Harvey World Travel. I worked here for 12 months, then moved onto a Group Supervisor role for a Sports Tour company. After 3 years here I decided to move into the corporate travel world where I worked as a corporate travel consultant. Within 6 months I was encouraged to move into an account management role looking after a portfolio of $25m in the SME market. After 3 years as an account manager, I enjoyed a career break travelling around UK & Europe.I have been with Flight Centre Limited since November 2011, working as a strategic account manager within the Corporate Traveller QLD Account Management team. During my time with Corporate Traveller, I achieved many successes with my clients, those which have been presented amongst my peers at conferences. In 2012 I became the Future Team Leader of our Team.In 2013 I moved into the FCM brand into the Account Management Team. There , I focused on a unique approach to strategic account management, ROI to the customer and growth & retention of my client portfolio. I really took on a project management style collaboration with my customers and led many projects from start to finish with great success.During the years of 2016 I took approximately a year off maternity leave and returned into a 12 month mat leave role in our Campus Travel Brand. This was managing one of the largest Universities in Australia. I worked with the Project travel team on their transformation project which looked at all aspects of their travel program. At the end of 2017 I took another year off maternity and have now returned back to FCM travel in a strategic support role. In March 2020 I was one of the many tourism professionals stood down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have recently returned back to FCM in a Key Account Management role.
