The mission of PharmaVoice is to provide a forum for business leaders to exchange their perspectives on the trends, challenges, opportunities, and important breakthroughs impacting the life sciences industry — from molecule to market. PharmaVoice's community of change agents and visionaries, who are shaping the future state of the life sciences industry, share their personal stories, opinions, perspectives, and insightful and thought-provoking commentary through news- and trend-related articles, interactive virtual forums, and podcasts in a daily newsletter format.

Putman Media is a diversified business-to-business media company that owns seven publications. As the senior editor of Pharma Manufacturing magazine, an industry-leading source of news and insights for pharma professionals, I was responsible for conceptualizing, writing and editing half of the website and print publication’s content. I used Google Analytics to track daily metrics, and HubSpot to create our daily newsletters and other e-mail blasts. I used Adobe InCopy for article layout. Online, I spearheaded an effort to increase page views for our content, which contributed to a 29 percent increase in visitors between 2018/2019. I moderated live speaker events and webinars, and co-hosted a twice-monthly podcast called "Off Script." I also travelled several times a year to industry trade shows around the U.S. and Europe to meet with pharma leaders and represent our publication at events.

Chief editor for Chem.Info, a premier source of news and insights for those working in the chemical processing industry and chemical manufacturing; and editor for Pharmaceutical Processing, an industry publication for pharma professionals. Wrote and edited news stories, news analysis and blog posts, and dispatched daily newsletters for Chem.Info and PharmPro. Managed the social media presence for Chem.Info and PharmPro. Monitored daily and monthly metrics for both publications' websites, newsletters and social media sites. During my first year in the position for Chem.Info, the total and unique page views increased by more than 50 percent. Wrote as senior reporter for seven other publications owned by Advantage Business Media including Manufacturing.Net, Surgical Products and Food Manufacturing. Moderated live speaker events and webinars for several brands at ABM.

Cadence Cold Brew is a fast-growing coffee startup that is expanding its distribution throughout the region. After Cadence decided to redesign its website, I was hired to write all of the copy. The projected required a close collaboration with the company's owners to bring out their story, and with the web designer to align the copy with the designer's vision. I also write press releases for Cadence announcing new products or other news from the company.

At BRAVA, Madison's leading magazine for women of style and substance, I was responsible for conceptualizing, coordinating, implementing and writing or editing up to half of the content of the magazine. I tackled writing projects that ranged from character features of high-profile Madison women to in-depth issue stories with a local spin on hot-button topics. Every month I also cranked out shorter profiles, skimmable, tip-based lifestyle articles, events and restaurant features and more. I also edited ads for BRAVA's clients and for BRAVA's events and assisted with copy writing. Online, I was the chief coordinator and editor of BRAVAmagazine.com and BRAVA's Facebook page. I was instrumental in creating and managing BRAVA's social media strategy, and the chief editor of BRAVA's fashion-focused blog, Style File. I also played a key role in creating a vision and strategy for BRAVA's website redesign. Meanwhile, I hired, trained and managed a dynamic team of two to six editorial interns that changed every semester. After starting at BRAVA I overhauled intern hiring practices to create a vibrant program for these aspiring journalists. Several interns stayed for more than one semester and many came back after being away to continue working with me.

I developed and taught a range of belly dance, belly dance fitness and yoga courses for adult students. To help create more fitness and dance opportunities in the community, I have also organized various dance/fitness events in collaboration with Ashar Dance Company (a local tribal belly dance troupe) including workshops with out-of-town instructors, performing arts shows and fundraising events. My relevant certifications included American Council of Exercise-Group Fitness Instructor, American Red Cross-CPR, YogaFit-Level One and Two Teacher Training
