I trained as a Officer Cadet at CFB Chilliwack, BC for Basic Officer Training under Regular Officer Training Program then attended Royal Roads Military College, Victoria BC 1986-1987.I transferred to 3 Field Engineer Squadron Reserves, Ottawa Ont and went to CFB Gagetown, NB for Reserve Entry Officer Training then CFB Chilliwack for Military Engineer Phase 2 in 1988. June 20,1988 Sleese Creek BC training Accident occurred. I was wounded and decided to return the next summer to do the course again rather than take a Free Pass. The following summer 1989 the training did not go well for me and I was told that I could no longer train as a Combat Engineer.
