Michael Diaz is a Los Angeles-based animation producer with 31 years of experience in the entertainment business. He began his career at Hanna-Barbera, and assisted in launching Cartoon Network by working on marketing initiatives and programming for such Hanna-Barbera classics as "Tom and Jerry" and "The Flintstones." He then worked on many Cartoon Network Originals' properties including "Dexter's Laboratory" and "The Powerpuff Girls." He later moved to Warner Bros. Animation, where he was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the creative affairs department. There, he also served as a programming executive for TV series including “Justice League” and “What’s New Scooby-Doo.” He then oversaw development and programming at Kids' WB! Where he supervised the Emmy-nominated “Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island” as well as “Pokémon” and “Yu-Gi-Oh!” He is now the owner of MEDIAZ, a consulting firm that procures animation service work, provides business strategy, intellectual property development, production and other services for leading animation studios across the globe. MEDIAZ taps into a strong network of creative talent, including showrunners, producers, writers, directors, artists, composers, musicians and voice actors. On behalf of clients, MEDIAZ has secured production service deals in the U.S. with Mattel, Disney, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, Adult Swim, Sesame Workshop, CloudCo., 20th Television, Hulu and LEGO.
