Hi, I'm Lisa. I'm a professional planner and the founder of Heartstage Consulting. I'm pretty excited about helping build great cities, towns and rural areas. I work with communities and organizations that are also keen on building brighter futures. I founded Heartstage in 2019 with a mission to help them gain clarity, set new directions and ignite meaningful change. My strengths and services are focused on strategy, planning and communications. At its core, the work that I do supports people-centered programs and thriving places. I have over 15 years of experience leading and collaborating on a diverse range of initiatives, from local economic development to redevelopment, and residential infill to heritage planning. I’ve worked closely with communities and the private and public sectors, including municipal staff and leaders, the business community, development industry, First Nations, local residents and associations. I love tackling complex issues, finding order in chaos, and working through challenges alongside clients and colleagues. I'm particularly passionate about projects and programs that support placemaking and main streets, community hubs and community building, local economies, local food and agriculture, tourism and recreation, bikes and active transportation.
