Part of Business Development and M&A team:Role includes:• Business Development activities for power business of Adani Group. • Manage End-to-End bidding process including evaluation, preparation of notes for higher management, competition analysis, bid document preparation etc. • Mergers & Acquisition of power plants, involved in the complete M&A cycle, including due diligence, financial analysis and modelling, bidding, documentation, and transaction closure. • Contract Drafting and Contract Management (Managing commercial & contractual aspects of 2 large Power Purchase Agreements, one with an international entity governed under English Law). • Analysis of relevant policies, regulations, regulatory orders. • Policy advocacy and analysis. preparation of comments to be provided on draft policies/regulations issued by MoP, CERC, CEA etc. • International Business Development Activities involving opportunity identification and evaluation, commercial feasibility studies, preparation of business proposals and deal closure. • Identification of new business opportunities including Thermal +RE bundled power, Renewable Energy, Hydro/Pumped Hydro Projects in India as well as in neighboring countries. • Power mix analysis for industries and optimization of power procurement cost. Key Accomplishments• Part of the core team for securing a landmark project of establishing a 1.32 GW power project in MP through competitive bidding. • Part of the core team for Adani Group’s acquisition of 1200 MW coal based power plant from Essar Power through NCLT route with a deal size of around INR 2500 Cr. • Due Diligence and Financial analysis undertaken for over 6 assets. • Papers prepared for policy advocacy efforts published in leading English newspapers.• Currently, analysing power mix of all facilities of Ambuja & ACC cement to optimise power cost through combination of various power sources like WHRS, RE and CPPs
