Embedded System Engineer Ii
Current- Contributing to the design and development of upcoming vehicles at John Deere, Dubuque.
- Designing and implementing embedded software for John Deere’s Construction Battery Electric Vehicles, using C, & MATLAB Simulink among other tools of development within JD’s Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
- Collaborating with a team of 10 or more software developers, system engineers and project managers to deliver high quality software by following thorough software developmental life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Supporting other software engineering teams by developing reusable software, automation scripts & test tools, enhancing the development life-cycle and ensuring the reliability of John Deere’s embedded operating system.
- Configuring and enabling different controller I/O & features as part of bringup of new vehicle systems, including but not limited to CAN, LIN, Memory, Diagnostics, Shadow and Payload generation.
- Testing the developed applications by writing unit tests using C++ or Simulink Test Tool, bench testing & machine testing.
