I led the organisation’s youth engagement work, supporting young people who experienced a variety of barriers to find a volunteering role that will enable them to build new skills, their confidence and help figure out their next step. Working with stakeholders across the third sector, I collaborated with volunteer managers, schools, parents and operational staff to build empowering, supportive opportunities for young people and increase youth voice in their organisations.Many of the young people had complex support needs due to mental health issues or long term health conditions. I worked in a 'person-first' model to create roles around the person as an individual, enabling the young person, whatever their support needs, to get involved in their community and thrive in a volunteering placement.

I planned and delivered a range of creative activities designed to boost the wellbeing of young people. Many were care experienced, had lived experience of poverty or had experienced difficulties during their time in education. I helped provide a safe, secure place for them to explore creativity and receive support during difficult periods in their life.

I solely ran a successful small business selling sustainable candles online and and local craft fairs. This involved production, website design, branding, customer service and more.- Had over 520 online Etsy sales with an average customer rating of a 5 stars- Sold at multiple local craft fairs and pop-ups across Scotland- Had my candles stocked in a number of physical stores- Received 'Highly Commended' recognition for 'Best sustainable candle brand' in Marie Claire's Beauty, Health and Wellness in their 2022 Sustainability Awards.

I led communications for Scotland’s anti-poverty network, comprised of almost 400 members. I delivered training to organisations across the third sector, producing high-quality graphics and strategic communications regarding the solutions to poverty. - I launched and managed our first e-action platform, enabling campaign supporters to contact their MSP and MPs about our campaigns, which was used over 2,500 times and in almost every Holyrood constituency. - Played a pivotal role in the Scottish Government meeting our campaign ask to double the Scottish Child Payment.- Created various assets and materials for our #ScrapTheCap, #EveryoneAboard and #ChallengePovertyWeek campaigns. -I supported people with lived experience of poverty to share their stories in the press, with features in The Scotsman, The Daily Record, The Herald, and BBC and STV news. - Managed our social media accounts, updates to our websites and our press appearances.- Delivered online training in framing principles to over 120 members of Scottish civil society. - Helped create the biggest involvement in the annual 'Challenge Poverty Week' campaign to date.

I coordinated a variety of sector-leading projects that supported the University’s zero-carbon, zero-waste and community-led strategic goals. I created compelling digital content with and for our network; including articles, news items, blogs, and social media assets as part of multi-channel digital communications strategies.-Grew our Instagram audience by over 1000% with it going from our least-used platform to the one we primarily used to contact students.- Delivered training on communicating sustainability skills to over 150 staff and students.- Implemented the Department’s work on anti-racism and adopting a climate justice approach- Developed and designed branding for an accessible new student-focused event series, Conscious Cinema.- Created a new partnership with the Widening Participation department- Worked with a local anti-racist charity, SCOREScotland, to support their creation of a social media strategy.

Leading position of the Number 1 Students' Union in the UK. I was democratically elected to represent the views and interests of all students within the University of Sheffield Students' Union, locally and nationally. I was responsible for overseeing the financial, social enterprise and facilities of the Students' Union and lead on sustainability. I sat on a number of University boards such as the University of Sheffield's Sustainability Steering Group, University Council and the University's Finance Committee. In the Students' Union, I chaired the Finance Committee and the Trustee Board sub-committees of Finance, Audit and Risk and Marketing, Development and Strategy.Achievements:-Ran a two week long election campaign against four other candidates, after which I managed to receive a 2,000 vote majority-Launched a campaign on plastic pollution, the launch event of which got over 180 attendees-Opened the first outlet in a UK Students' Union dedicated to zero waste and sustainable living-Spoken on local radio twice about my campaign and appeared in local papers-Introduced food waste bins and improved recycling bins-Successfully lobbied the University to implement a sustainability strategy-Introduced price incentives for those who use reusables over disposables-Ran large scale panel events on the links between climate change and refugees and the gendered nature of climate change-Created on the UK's first campus-wide reusable coffee cup return scheme-Introduced new vegan options and ran a campaign incentivising students to try plant-based options

I was responsible for supporting the delivery of holiday schemes for groups of up to 45 children in my local Sure Start centre. I undertook further training to be able to support children with complex additional needs and support care-experienced children. I led groups of 15 children in arts and crafts sessions and a range of play-based activities.-Received training in supporting children with learning difficulties such as Autism, Developmental Delay and Down's Syndrome.-Took a course in Makaton to aid communication with non-verbal children. -Trained in supporting children attending the centre with care experience and with behavioural difficulties
