A writer at heart with an eye for visual detail, I've worked for the government, corporate institutions, and small to medium-size businesses.As a communications professional, I bring more than just technical writing skills, through my experience as a video journalist, I've learned to tell stories visually. Working for the Department of National Defense, I wrote technical communications, expressing complex ideas in clear language.As a kid, we had a darkroom in the basement, so I've always had an appreciation for photography and film. As an adult, I specialize in video production and new media. I have extensive experience shooting video with a variety of cameras; shooting with everything from Panasonic ENG news cameras to Canon, Nikon, Lumix, and Sony DSLRs. On all my shoots, I am responsible for creating the best lighting possible and recording clean audio. I edit video using Final Cut Pro X and have knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite. As a Freelance videographer, I have worked with small businesses, and charities create promotional, instructional, and crowd-funding videos.At Hatfield Consultants I organized all of the corporate proposals, marketing materials and business development. These tasks require extensive time management, as well as communication and organizational skills to ensure that all deadlines are met in various departments.I have a lot of experience in new media and online community engagement. Previously I coordinated the national socila media strategy for ShawTV. I enjoy the challenge; what we can build is always more interesting than what we have. Let's be influential.
