The Senior Digital Developer promotes the District as a preferred destination for area families from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds through the maintenance and design of the Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) website. This role communicates school news, programs, special initiatives and services available to prospective area families, students, and employees of the District.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Manage website content for all Board of Education departments based on the direction of the Communications department leadership-Create branding and image concepts for website and media technology outlets-Maintain, monitor and manage external marketing websites and apps-Train employees on digital media platforms for KCPS school buildings. This includes but is not limited to website, social media, digital messaging (SchoolMessenger, MailChimp, Let’s Talk, etc.), digital form creation-Provide technical expertise, information, and assistance to assigned supervisor regarding assigned functions, unusual trends, or problems, and recommend appropriate corrective action.-Participates in various activities including but not limited to: programming of KCPS-TV, implementation and maintenance of digital signage throughout the district, livestream assistance, and modernization of the video library and server-Assist with maintenance and administration of social media networks and connections to department communication tools-Compile monthly analytic reports in regards to put not limited to: website traffic and trends; social media engagement and following; and local and national media coverage of district-Assist Communications department and schools with maintenance and administration of social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube-Collaborate with district recruiters in regards to job listing strategies for LinkedIn
