About Megan Campbell

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). I recently worked at the Hawaii State Lab as a Microbiologist. My contract ended, so I am now looking for more of a permanent position in a laboratory and eventually work to get a clinical license.Previously, I worked at Illumina as a CLT, processing genetic samples through the Infinium Assay and reviewing large quantities of sample data. I was in charge of presenting my findings and showing any irregularities in the dataset. Before that, I have worked at Millennium Health as a Genetics Specimen Processor, where I handled oral samples and managed patient files. I have also worked at Vitalant, centrifuging human blood. I have done research in two genetics labs performing DNA extraction, quantification, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. I interned at NOAA's Southwest Fisheries Science Center in their Marine Mammal Genetics Group, working with whale and dolphin DNA. With this prior experience, I am looking to move into a long-term career with a company where I can enhance my skillset and make a positive impact in the community.
