Align parts that were scanned in 3D to true 3D Vehicle position using CAD and STL data acquired during scanning process. Route the wiring harnesses, pipes, hoses and lines back to the true 3D Vehicle position with the creation of curves using Blender software and previously scanned and aligned parts data.

Scan vehicle during different stages of the teardown process, after each system is removed, to get a reference outline for the downstream services to realign vehicle in 3D software. Scan complete parts after removal from systems in 3D, using Atos and GOM software. While in this position I personally saved the company over $200,000 per/year by encouraging the switch from a no longer produced and overpriced white spray to a much cheaper option, that is also easier to obtain.

Using data acquired through automotive teardown find the correct path of wiring and connections. Using various power saws and tools cut systems along fastener lines to show 2D view of how individual systems fasten together as a whole. Using various deburring and sanding tools, smooth out the cut lines to prepare for a digital scan of cut line. Using the individual parts of the cut systems, piece back together and scan along the clean-cut line into computer in order to create 2D schematics of how systems connect, in Corel Draw software. Using Rhino software convert and cut 3D STL data scans to IGES files to get a 2D outline of the cut out for electrical components, that cannot physically be cut. Combine the cut and draw data with the 3D scanned data to create a complete 2D schematic of all the torn down systems and how they fasten.
