Since 1994, the AIGA LINK Program has been serving Seattle-area youth with free arts and design workshops throughout the school year, along with portfolio building, mentorship, and scholarships for graduating seniors. My work takes a four-pronged approach:• Leadership: Leading a community of volunteers, students, parents, and partner organizations with flexibility, empathy, consistent resources, proactive communication, and a clear path to success.• Equity: Directing and executing initiatives that advance equity in the program and beyond. Encompasses student, volunteer, and artist recruitment; artist compensation; student stipends and scholarship administration; partnership development; feedback collection and collaborative decision-making.• Community: Focus on building relationships with other local organizations to better serve our communities. Initiatives center history, environment, and community justice in program administration and workshop curriculum.• Data: End-to-end data management and reporting for evidence-based action. Includes budget management, metric ideation, data collection, analysis, and iterative strategies for system and service improvement.

This role gave me the flexibility to identify, establish, and improve on core organizational principles at SVC. Projects included:• Team management: Created the structure and successful team implementation of project management platforms with replicable, iterative processes. Managers gained much more consistent, informed oversight while reducing reporting strain on staff• Program documentation: Created end-to-end program lifecycles from macro to micro scale, with actionable timelines that continue to maintain consistency and reduce reactive churn for team and clients• Information management: Overhauled active and archival file system for easy access and better use of assets, alongside thorough archival documentation of flagship apprenticeship program to improve services for future instances of programs• Equity advancement: Initiated and managed internal discussions on organizational and educational equity to deconstruct opportunity barriers in the field, incorporating de-escalation principles and analyses of how institutional oppressions function systemically• Employee care: Organized and facilitated full-cycle HR services from onboarding to exit interviews, including manager reporting and mentorship-based training with help navigating the workplace and setting healthy boundaries. Promoted transparency about equity and inclusion and supportive space to process concerns• Meeting management: Conducted weekly check-ins and meetings series for building team collaboration principles and management of responsibilities to prevent burnout

Brought the school's inaugural UX Design & Research Apprenticeship program to life by building and maintaining the underlying structures, connections, data analysis, and apprentice resources to bring the cohort to a successful graduation. Advocated human-centered, trauma-informed solutions to emergent challenges, resulting in better care, more thoughtful consideration of participants, and a stronger, more equitable program.

Broad spectrum of administrative, organizing, and clerical duties that ensured efficient operations of the school office while supporting staff, instructors, and students. Produced easily replicable workflows that improved team efficiency and clarified onboarding for new members.Developed and researched additional opportunities for students according to their needs and made recommendations to leadership resulting in broader services, higher feedback ratings, new returning students, and greater visibility of the school.Re-built and streamlined communications, including the school's notifications and refund process, resulting in high savings returns and a positive student-administrative experience.
