In charge of revamping the marketing for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year; this includes re doing our shirts, posters, brochures and advertisements. Freshman recruitment- organizing events for the incoming Freshman at Rice in order to increase our BSM group by at least 25 new students. In charge of creating and keeping up with our Social Media: Created a Twitter and Instagram account for our organization, helping our program reach freshman before they even step foot on campus. More than 100 students follow these accounts currently.

Gonaives, Haiti

I have taken two trips to Gonaives, the first during the summer in 2013 and the second as an intern from May to June of 2014. I lived on site at a orphanage in Gonaives, Haiti working with in total over 40 children. Renovating their bedrooms, painting walls, helping build a basketball court and providing food from local mission organizations. I also helped run the first ever basketball camp in the city- opened it to the public along with the orphans. Teaching them fundamentals of basketball since many had never even seen one before. We also took daily trips to the Raboto feeding center, carrying loaves of bread on the back of a motorcycle and providing children with their only meal of the day.

Learned production and operations from reporters, anchors and the production team by assisting them in daily tasks. Exposed to fieldwork, which included interviewing skills with the Astros, University of Houston football, and the Houston Dynamo. Participated and assisted stage managers with mic'ing and camera operating. Logged games and created highlights for on-air usage with sound bite identification.

Completed 100 hours for a Sports Practicum class by setting up the press conferences, working the pressroom during games, and creating player bio's and articles for the website.
