I am a CLASS Certified Observer. I observe and measure the quality of classroom interactions to code classrooms throughout my Ready Region using the CLASS tool as part of the VQB5 Project.

I taught Spanish levels I-V, as well as English 9, Advanced English 9, English 10, yearbook, newspaper, and study skills. Additionally, throughout my tenure, I contributed to campus life in various ways. I served as the sponsor for Genders and Sexualities Alliance, Debate Club, SADD Club, Pep Club, the Freshman Class, and Spanish Club. I personally created both Spanish Club and Debate in our school and guided students in their creation of our first GSA.I also coached the English MACC team, a local competitive academic team, as well as Scholastic Bowl and Forensics.During my time, I served as my school's local VEA representative and acted as a site liaison for our Foundation for Excellence. In this capacity, I connected teachers with other educational influencers and ensured their voices were heard. I actively participated in Radford T-TAC's Equity Cohort, where I gained valuable insights into equity across all races, genders, sexualities, and socioeconomic statuses. This experience deepened my understanding of how we, as educators, can work towards creating a more equitable world for our students.
