I am a driven and ambitious transit professional currently working at Oakville Transit as an On Road Supervisor, ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers in the Town of Oakville while occasionally being responsible for licensing and training new hire operators. This experience highlights my abilities in interpersonal communication, clerical training and driver certification. Previously with Metrolinx as a Rail Traffic Controller, I gained valuable knowledge of the Rail Industry with a focus on commuter rail. Maintaining track safety and abiding by CROR, I aided in keeping GO Trains operating safely and on time. Working with other Rail Companies (CN and CP) to keep VIA and Freight movements safe and able to complete work in a timely manner while navigating GO Service around them without delay. I was also responsible for specific territory of track, protecting track work projects outside of train service and during major track closures as well as the forepersons assigned to the job. I graduated from Centennial College with my Diploma in Community and Justice Services and am currently enrolled in the Adult Teaching Certificate Program at Seneca College. I have worked in the Transportation industry for 10 years, as a Transit Operator, an Operations Supervisor, and as an Instructor (with MTO Signing Authority) with Toronto Transit Commission, continued my career into the Rail Industry at Metrolinx and now transitioned back into Municipal Transit with the Town of Oakville. My goal is to provide high quality customer care through the use of my interpersonal skills, industry knowledge and personal experience gained through various positions while simultaneously maintaining OTP and KPI's where possible. I aim to uphold safety and integrity in every aspect of my career, and look forward to expanding my industry knowledge through experience and collaboration.
