As the Managing Editor, I work to elevate the content of Festival Squad's colorful music lifestyle publication. I work with all staff writers to direct our content, strengthen/edit ideas and writing, and provide guidance. I contribute music news, reviews, live event coverage, pre- and post-coverage, artist interviews, relative lifestyle content, and everything in between.

Working as a team member on annual projects for specialized issues of AdAge. I contact several industry executives per day to gather specialized information as well as edit data, financial information and copy: all entered into publication database.

I traveled to Iceland with a team of 10 other people to cover the international music festival Iceland Airwaves for WCRX FM. I worked on deadline writing daily blogs consisting of live reviews, travel writing and cultural stories. I also produced 4 NPR-styled radio stories about Icelandic culture, one of which was included in an hour long documentary that aired on 88.1 WCRX.

As editor, I helped develop story ideas and the angle and direction they would take, worked with staff writers and gave feedback on numerous drafts, copy edited each story in the Back of Book section, edited design ideas and placement, and organized final placement in the particular section of the magazine all in order to portray Echo's personality and to reach its target audience.

As a staff writer, I pitched different story ideas and also took assignments on any news story that needed covering and had 5-10 published each month on various topics. I also created the designs for each of my own stories while at this publication.
