In a final group project to rebuild Slack in six days, I was back-end lead, designing the app’s database structure and laying out API endpoints. My individual capstone project took a fullstack, data-driven deep dive into a favorite word game, combining a React/Redux game interface with dyamically rendered data visualizations and a database full of word stats.

Tasked with managing a creaky alumni database after its sole maintainer retired, I taught myself the fundamentals of relational databases. I fell in love with coding by redesigning the system and using it to solve problems.
