My career has been built by the place Where Dreams Come True. The first degree I pursued was a BA in History but after spending a semester at Walt Disney World through their coveted Disney College Program, I knew there was a change in order. I quickly changed my degree and applied to the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. Eventually, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from what is now the number one school for the degree in the nation and number two in the world in 2019. This was accomplished while continuing my relationship with the Walt Disney Company through an assortment of roles. From Merchandise sales, to Attractions hostess, Resort Concierge then now Guest Relations Hostess, I’ve expanded my knowledge of how a household name provides excellent guest service. The experience was a very important part of my development but what appealed to me the most was helping others feel special. I wanted to create such a meaningful impact that they would be able to look back at their vacation with excitement and nostalgia. However, I realized this wouldn’t offer enough fulfillment for myself. I required a role in the world that could affect others in the long term, not just based around a moment. This is when I decided to go back to school for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have recently graduated with aspirations to continue my education through a Masters program focusing on Human Services. I intend on merging the understanding I have of the service industry and my education to foster the most diverse and inclusive work environment possible in my future employment.
