I work as a communications specialist in a variety of areas, currently in community and public health care. I am currently the Communications Director for a five-county health-centered nonprofit, where our mission is to support health systems and community-based organizations to create a thriving environment for the people that live in the North Sound. Through my previous experience as a journalist and graduate researcher at Western Washington University, I am experienced and passionate about communications with the public. I am trained in interviewing and reporting as a journalist and as an anthropologist, where my passions lie with indigenous issues, health and science news, and longform story-telling. I have expert skills in writing and editing for print, and intermediate skills in audio recording and editing, design and layout, copywriting, photography, social media management, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Audition.
