*Researched and wrote the "Kosrae" chapter of Federated States of Micronesia & Republic of Palau guidebook, based upon studious research and insight from personal experience of living in Kosrae while serving in the Peace Corps.*Edited other authors' introductory sections in the Federated States of Micronesia & Republic of Palau, working to create consistency throughout the book.*Edited Other Places Publishing's guide to Tonga for spelling, grammar, consistency, and style, in accordance with the Chicago Manual of Style, as well as the publisher's house style guide.

*Served as a teacher and community volunteer in Kosrae, Federated States of Micronesia; and Babeldaob, Palau.*Taught English as a second language to Kosraen and Palauan elementary school students, grades 1-9, with an emphasis on writing. *Designed and taught a popular course for gifted and talented ninth graders in creative writing. Tutored another group of ninth graders on the fundamentals of rhetoric, grammar, and style in preparation for a statewide essay contest, in which they outscored the previous class.*Worked with local Kosrae nonprofit, KCSO, to design and execute an environmental stewardship unit for seventh and eighth grade students. *Developed the library collection at Ngeremlengui Elementary School, soliciting ten boxes of donated materials from individuals and organizations off and on-island, cataloguing and labeling existing approximately 400 previously-unshelved books, and organizing the entire collection. Promoted student literacy through monthly reading contests and other events. *Collaborated with parents, community members, and fellow Peace Corps Volunteers to design and execute a weekend-long cultural field trip for 40 ninth graders. Made all necessary logistical arrangements, recruited chaperones, and oversaw the trip as a whole.
