Although I worked with many different types of clients and industries, I was typically assigned to not-for-profit engagements, auto dealerships, and real-estate companies. In addition to assurance work, I was also responsible for preparing both corporate and personal tax returns; preparing charity information returns; as well as preparing specialized government reports such as annual information returns and annual reconciliation reports. Further, this role allowed me to assist bookkeepers and controllers with recording difficult accounting entries and answer general inquires about recording transactions.All of these experiences have allowed me to set a good foundation for my new role as an assurance manager.

These work terms served as an opportunity to gain work experience required for my C.A. designation and also as a practical application to my university degree.During these work terms my primary responsibility was to perform small review engagements and compilations. I was also required to assist more senior staff members in larger reviews and audits. In addition to my exposure to the assurance department, I gained tax experience by completing both corporate and personal tax returns as well as T4,T5 and NR4 tax slips for our clients.
